The Department of Applied Mathematics has 19 faculty members, including 4 professors, 7 associate professors, and 8 lecturers. There are 18 teachers with doctor's degree and 10 supervisors with Master's Degree in Statistics. Our teachers are dedicated, vigorous, and enterprising. The tasks undertaken by the Department are teaching-oriented, scientific research and teaching research go hand in hand. In recent years, more than 10 national projects have been completed and under research, and 4 projects have been applied for the NSFC in cooperation; 3 provincial and ministerial projects, and 2 second prizes and 1 third prize of Shanghai Natural Science Prize in cooperation and 1 first prize of the school's teaching achievements. We have published more than 100 papers, of which more than 20 are SCI-recorded. There are more than ten teaching reform projects and other teaching research course construction projects. We also have one March 8th Red Banner pacesetter, two second prize and two third prize winners of the Youth Teacher's Lecture Contest of Shanghai, and two excellent class instructors of the university.
