On November 24, the School of Mathematics, Physics and Statistics held an exchange meeting to promote the declaration on National Natural Science Foundation of China. Professor Gong Shangqing from East China University of Science and Technology was invited to make an experience sharing report on self-science foundation writing and declaration. The teachers of the School of Mathematics, Physics and Statistics who planned to apply for the fund attended the meeting. The meeting was presided over by Wu Jianbao, Vice Dean of the school.
Combining with his own experience in applying for National Natural Science Foundation of China, Professor Gong Shangqing introduced the ideas and elements of writing the application in detail. The report makes a comprehensive discussion on the fund project from three aspects: project classification application, project application writing and matters needing attention, project writing experience sharing. Prof. Gong put forward valuable suggestions and paying attention to each link. Advice was also given from the aspects of personal declaration experience.
After the report, Prof. Gong communicated with the participating teachers about the problems encountered in the declaration process of National Natural Science Foundation of China, and he encouraged everyone to make full use of this period of time, act early and prepare early, pay attention to details, so as to write out the high-level applications.
