To deepen university-enterprise cooperation and fulfil Shanghai's higher education mission of "emphasizing service and making strong contributions", a delegation from the School of Mathematics, Physics and Statistics visited Shanghai Heli Intelligent Machine Co., Ltd. on April 7th to study the paths through which statistics and optoelectronics can empower the high-end intelligent equipment manufacturing industry. The delegation was led by Zhang Chaomin, Secretary of the Joint Party Committee of the School of Mathematics, Physics and Foreign Languages, and Dean Wang Guoqiang.
The delegation held in-depth discussions with Chairman Cheng Kelin and the heads of the company's research institute, human resources, supply chain, procurement and AI technology departments. The two sides further explored new paths for university-enterprise cooperation and exchanged views on their respective resource advantages and practical needs, reaching concrete arrangements for joint postgraduate training, the appointment of enterprise mentors and guest professors, joint patent applications, and joint talent development.
