The 15th National Conference on Mathematical Optimization (MOS 2025), hosted by the Mathematical Programming Branch of the Operations Research Society of China, organized by Shanghai University of Engineering Science, and co-organized by the Shanghai Operations Research Society and sister institutions in Shanghai, was held in Songjiang, Shanghai from May 16 to 19, 2025. More than 1,000 experts and scholars in the field of mathematical optimization from over 30 provinces in China, as well as from the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom, Singapore and other countries, gathered together to attend the grand event.
A total of 257 presentations were scheduled for MOS2025, including 8 plenary sessions, 8 invitational sessions for young scholars, 123 sessions, 65 group sessions and 59 poster sessions. The latest achievements in mathematical optimization were presented.In various fields of mathematical optimization, such as linear and nonlinear programming, combinatorial optimization, non-smooth convex optimization, optimization in finance and statistics, sparse and stochastic optimization, optimization in artificial intelligence and machine learning, network optimization and game theory, variational inequalities and complementary problems, optimization in management, tensor optimization, polynomial optimization, integer programming, etc. There were extensive and in-depth academic exchanges.
Through cutting-edge theoretical discussions and practical experience sharing, it accelerates the deep integration of mathematical programming technology with global issues such as artificial intelligence and injects innovative impetus into addressing the complex challenges in the digital economy and sustainable development.
