On August 23 to 25, the 11th National College Students' Photoelectric Design Competition "Bin-Song Cup" Physical Final (National Final) was successfully held in Harbin Institute of Technology. Three teams from our university participated, and won one national second prize and two third prizes. The university won the excellent organization award.

The university attaches great importance to cultivating students' scientific research and innovation ability through discipline competitions, and the Department of Optoelectronic Physics of the School of Mathematics, Physics and Statistics is responsible for organizing and carrying out the project to build the discipline characteristics of optoelectronic information science and engineering. Since the establishment of the major of optoelectronic information science and engineering in 2021, the School has adhered to the disciplinary curriculum construction and disciplinary competitions, and actively encourage students to participate in a variety of science and technology innovation competitions, and form a talent cultivation mode of exploring and researching.
