From August 20 to 22, 2025, the National Finals of the Physical Object Track of the 13th National College Optoelectronic Design Competition - "Hamamatsu Cup" were held at Zhejiang University. Two teams from our university won the National First Prize and National Second Prize, respectively. Dr. Liu Ye was awarded the "Outstanding Instructor" title, and the university received the "Outstanding Organization Unit" award.

It is reported that the Physical Object Track attracted 2,684 teams from 308 universities across the country. The national finals awarded 70 First Prizes, 98 Second Prizes, and 156 Third Prizes. These achievements fully demonstrate the innovative capabilities of our university's Optoelectronic Information Science and Engineering program in integrating engineering, design, and management in talent cultivation, reflecting the strategic outcomes of the university's "Three Rotor" initiative.
