From June 21st-23rd, the 2024 International Conference on Optimization and Statistics with Applications was successfully held at Songjiang Campus of Shanghai University of Engineering Science. The purpose of this conference is to promote the deep integration of the two disciplines of optimization and statistics, share the latest achievements in theoretical innovation, algorithm development and their applications in various fields, and discuss the cutting-edge trends in these two fields. Prof. Wang Guoqiang, Dean of the School ofMathematics, Physics and Statistics, presided over the conference. Experts and scholars from universities at home and abroad as well as teachers and postgraduates of the School participated in the conference either offline or online.
